Visions...

I had a particularly strange conversation last night which involved me recounting, I mean fabricating a story about how I had a vision where me and Kurt Russell were walking down an aisle in a huge Tesco trying to find out who we were by learning which Tetris piece we were each most like.

This is what I've been reduced to this evening for light, candles and nothing to do except take pictures and complain about it using my phone's data package. I now feel bad for wasting the earlier portion of it, although I don't feel so bad that it's going to stop me from returning to my earlier plan of watching some Mad Men.

My week at the Fringe

Greetings! For the past week I have mostly been in Edinburgh attending a few shows at the Fringe Festival and generally catching up with people through there. Much fun was had as we saw quite a wide range of comedians from Josie Long’s slightly surreal sense of whimsy to Stewart Lee performing material that will be in a TV show coming out in 2011. The one low point from all of the shows we attended was the world’s most annoying woman who seemed to think it was acceptable to repeat every punchline to her friend while laughing the most exaggerated laugh I have ever heard. She also seemed to think that whooping whenever alcohol was mentioned was a welcome thing to do.

The week also allowed me and my host for the week, Alex to play our way through the first 3 movies/books in Lego Harry Potter which was very entertaining, often accidentally so thanks to things like Hagrid’s umbrella did not look especially family friendly. I would say that it does seem to be the buggiest of the Lego … games that I have played but the formula is still a winning one.
